My Work Experience

Executive Director, CenterStage/ Tapestry Theatre Company

August 2021 - Present

I am currently the Executive Director of CenterStage Theatre Company/ Tapestry Theatre in Louisville, Colorado. CenterStage focuses on youth theatre and Tapestry focuses on a message of inclusion bringing together "all-abilities" adults and youth through theatre.

Adjunct Professor, University of Denver, University College

January 2021 - Present

I am currently on the faculty of the University of Denver, University College Arts and Culture Management Masters program. I have taught classes in utilizing data in arts management (finance, marketing & development), arts marketing and non-profit best practices. 

Executive Artistic Director, Mizel Arts and Culture Center

Oct 2004 - September 2020

I was proud to serve as Executive Artistic Director for one of the Rocky Mountain region's premiere multidisciplinary arts organizations, the Mizel Arts and Culture Center (Mizel). Programs included the Wolf Theatre Academy, an art academy, the Denver Children's Theatre, the Denver Jewish Film Festival and JAAMM Festival (Jewish Arts, Authors, Movies & Music).

Prior to being promoted to Executive Artistic Director, I served as Artistic Director of the theatre department where I founded the Wolf Theatre Academy and the Denver Children's Theatre.

Artistic Director/ Resident Director, PHAMALY Theatre Company

2000 - 2015

PHAMALY Theatre Company is comprised of actors all of whom have different physical and mental disabilities. I had the privilege of serving as a resident director from 2000 to 2003 and then as Artistic Director from 2003 through 2015.

Performing Arts Chair/ Faculty Member, St. Mary's Academy

1994 - 2004

At St. Mary's I taught drama for this all-girls high school. I produced an annual all-girls Shakespeare and taught Acting I, II and III which included theatre vocabulary, improv, theatre games, scene study and at the most advanced levels, production.

1991 - 1997

Compass Theatre Company featured mainstage classical theatreworks (mostly Shakespeare) which were presented at the Denver Civic Theatre

My Schooling

National Theatre Conservatory

Sept 1987 - May 1990

The only Masters program in theatre sanctioned by Congress, the National Theatre Conservatory included intense course study in all aspects of theatre (acting, scene study, dance, movement, voice, singing, production, theatre history, dramaturgy) followed by a final year as part of the professional acting company of the Denver Center Theatre Company. Unfortunately, the NTC closed in 2012.

September 1981 - May 1984

USC provided incredible conservatory style study in theatre including theatre history, scene study, acting theory, dramaturgy, dance, voice, singing and production.
